Why we need
more Friends
With more members our voice is stronger when we campaign to protect the Parks, and with more subscription income we can do more to provide information and education about the Parks, their wildlife and their history.
In today's political climate, with intense pressure on public finances, the continuing healthy existence of public assets such as the Parks cannot be taken for granted. They need visible active public involvement and support if they are not to wither or become excessively commercialized.
The Friends, a registered charity, provides a focus for those who value the Parks to make their voice heard. We organize activities and projects to enhance and protect the Parks and improve the public’s enjoyment and understanding of them. Membership of the Friends is thus an explicit expression of the importance that people attach to the well-being of the Parks – and numbers matter in how much influence we have and how much we can achieve.
Please use this form* to join. You may pay your subscription by cheque, cash (at a Friends’ meeting) or you can opt to pay by standing order. You may ‘Gift Aid’ your subscriptions and donations by using this form*. The ‘membership year’ corresponds to the calendar year.
