The Friends of Bushy & Home Parks is an association constituted in 1990. We value the rural nature of these two neighbouring royal parks and believe that their landscapes should be protected for future generations.

Why we need members

In today's political climate, with intense pressure on public finances, the continuing healthy existence of public assets such as the Parks cannot be taken for granted. They need visible active public involvement and support if they are not to wither or become excessively commercialized.

The Friends, a registered charity, provides a focus for those who value the Parks to make their voice heard. We organize activities and projects to enhance and protect the Parks and improve the public’s enjoyment and understanding of them. Membership of the Friends is thus an explicit expression of the importance that people attach to the well-being of the Parks – and numbers matter in how much influence we have and how much we can achieve .
